A Different Approach
Your Team of Financial Professionals

We're a team of unbiased independent financial professionals who are dedicated to helping you design, build and maintain Your Financial House™. Our collective expertise touches on every aspect of your financial life.
What We Bring to the Table
We never lose sight that our clients rely on us to do what's best for them at all times. Our unique position as a locally owned, independent firm allows us to remain steadfastly dedicated to doing just that.
Our success is judged by how much we enrich the experience of our clients, rather than the degree that we contribute to corporate profits of a large, publicly traded entity. We are not in business to meet a quota or produce bonuses paid to Wall Street executives. We work for you. Period. We're not under the influence of corporate bureaucracies and outside shareholders, as is the case with most firms.
We offer a one-stop, personal relationship. Our team of specialists acts as a gatekeeper for clients so they have access to virtually any investment product or service. We have access to financial products and services comparable to the largest of national firms.
In today's complex world, this collaboration of experts provides our clients a level of diversity of perspectives, consistency, service and specialization that is unparalleled in the Black Hills.

Eric Lee
Eric is a co-founder and managing member of the firm. He's been giving his clients solid, committed guidance since 1992.
Eric has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary professional designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. A "fiduciary" is someone who is managing the assets of another and is held to the highest standards of care under the law. The AIF professional designation is the only designation that demonstrates knowledge, competency and training in fiduciary responsibility.
Eric was honored by Barron's, America's premier financial magazine, as one of the Barron's Top 1,000 financial advisors in the nation. Eric and the other advisors honored by the magazine represent just over 1 percent of all advisors.
His primary team responsibility is to plan and direct all aspects of the firm's investment strategy. He leads the research, evaluation and selection of investment vehicles to align your specific investment strategy with the goals you outline in your financial blueprint.
Eric holds Series 7 and 63 securities registrations as well as health and life insurance licences. Eric and his wife, Terri, have two daughters; Hannah (9) and Julia (7).
Barron's Top 1,000 Advisors, basses its rankings on qualitative criteria: professionals with a minimum of 7 years' financial services experience, acceptable compliance records, client retention reports, customer satisfaction, and more. Advisors are quantitatively ranked based on varying types of revenues and assets advised by the financial professional, with weightings associated for each. Additional measures include: in-depth interviews and discussions with senior management, peers, and customers, and telephone-based and in-person interviews with the nominees. Because individual client portfolio performance varies and is typically unaudited, this ranking focuses on customer satisfaction and quality of advice. The rating may not be representative of any one client's experience because it reflects a sample of all of the experiences of the advisor's clients. The rating is not indicative of the advisors future performance. Neither LPL Financial nor KT Investment Advisors advisors pay a fee to Barron's in exchange for this rating.
